IBP seeks CEO

Having just celebrated its 50th anniversary, the IBP is at a turning point.  Our long-standing CEO, Gerald Bowey, has taken the decision to step down as chief executive. Although we will miss him enormously, we want to extend huge thanks to Gerald for his steadfast commitment to IBP, not least of which includes organising this year’s awards entries, and wish him well in his plans for the future.

The IBP board has met to discuss and agree a future direction, based on IBP’s core values, which will inform the appointment of a new chief executive.  We have started to map out a fresh agenda, based upon a new charitable mission, with a greater focus on promoting inclusion and diversity across our membership.  We will also be taking the opportunity to reinvigorate IBP’s awards programmes raising the organisation’s profile, seeking out participants and developing and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships with supporters, donors, and relevant stakeholders. You will hear more about this shortly.

The process of recruiting and appointing a new IBP chief executive is about to commence, and we hope to be in a position to announce the new appointment in the not too distant future.  You can find details of the role if you Click Here

This is a very exciting job for the right person.

As a board, we are very excited about the future of IBP  and looking forward to engaging with you all as the details become clear, but in the meantime if you would like any further information please do reach out to me or Tom Broughton, our President, for further information,

Best,

Harriett
