Your 2021 membership card, which is valid until 31 March 2022, will be with you in the next week or so.

While most of the IBP mailings now take place as ‘Alerts’ that are emailed to you, can I remind you to look at the website for regular updates on latest initiatives including a range of events for journalists, freelance journalists, in-house corporate communications managers and public relations consultants.

In response to Covid-19 IBP has taken a low profile affording members the opportunity to prioritise, concentrate and engage with home and work issues.

Nevertheless IBP has not been inactive. We are putting the final touches to the 2020 journalism awards presentations reception, due to take place ‘live’ in July. We are also mid-way towards refreshing the journalism awards and will be Calling for Entries at the end of August.

As part of our plans, as we emerge from lockdown, we will be launching a programme of events focusing on the content of the winning articles, from the journalism awards, and other key issues that affect our sector. These initiatives will be announced, with more details, shortly.

In the meantime if you have any suggestions or would like to get involved please let me know.
