Journalism Awards entries:
Extended to Wednesday 16th

In response to numerous requests, due to the challenging times we are all experiencing, the IBP Journalism Awards entries deadline has been extended to Wednesday 16th September 2020.

If you wish to enter the Event Category, to clarify, the judges look forward to reviewing entries for live, hybrid or virtual events and will judge them, whatever the format, on the same basis. There is no restriction on the number of different events you can enter.

The Campaign Category should reflect burning issues that impact on the built environment and can span a range of media including print, online, mobile and social media.  The entry should demonstrate the use of innovative techniques to produce quantifiable and measurable results in line with the overall objectives.

Please note that reduced entry costs, shown on the payment terms, apply for editors, journalists and publishers. Freelance journalists and journalists that have, as a result of Covid-19, been made redundant can enter free of charge. The winners cash prizes still apply to all the individual categories.

In their 47th year the IBP journalism awards provide the opportunity for individual journalists to showcase their work on digital and print platforms – while putting journalism that serves the built environment at their heart.

Published material up to 31st August accepted with entries now closing on Wednesday 16th September.

The ‘live’ awards presentations are still planned to take place on Thursday 19th November.
