Calls for construction managers to take a more pro-active role in the design of what they build have become increasingly loud – this press briefing and debate will look at how this could work in practice by adopting a new Code of Practice.

Construction professionals, architects and members of the Cabinet Office committee, looking at new models of procurement, will come together to discuss a new Code of Practice:  Integrated Design & Construction – Single Responsibility,

There will be a short opening statement by the author: Colin Harding BSc Tech Hons, Chartered Construction Manager and past President CIOB.  Colin was also a member of both the Latham review working group and of the ‘Movement for Innovation’ implementing Sir John Egan’s ‘Rethinking Construction’.

There will be an open discussion in the form of a Q&A session with a broad based audience drawn from the built environment.
