A panel of leading professionals will discuss key issues, including:
- develop housing in London in a different way to shift the density of new development on existing urban sites, and
- increase the supply of strategic land and promote regional centres to plan for the shortfall, or
- accept that the London City Region is not going to meet all growth needs - and to develop a different strategy, seeing London as one vital City region within the wider UK City region network
The panel, including Andrew Jones, Practice Lead Design Planning & Economics, AECOM; Paul Beardmore, Director of Housing, Manchester City Council; Trudi Elliott, Chief Executive, Royal Town Planning Institute and Robert Evans, Partner, Argent (Property Development) Services LLP will discuss these themes and the need for strategic solutions to these and other pressing issues.
Nick Ferrari, journalist and broadcaster, will facilitate an extended audience Q&A session in response to the key note presentation by Andrew Jones and responses from the panel.
