Now, more than ever, it is important that IBP supports our sectors media, specifically editors and journalists writing about the built environment. In their 47th year the IBP journalism awards provide the opportunity for individual journalists to showcase their work on digital and print platforms – while putting journalism that serves the built environment at their heart. IBP has reduced entry costs for editors and publishers, while freelance journalists and journalists that have, as a result of Covid-19, been made redundant can enter free of charge. You can do your bit too to encourage journalists to enter by tweeting to your followers and by targeting any journalists that you know that have been made redundant due to the economic fallout of coronavirus – now is the time to give your support to our sectors journalists. Published material up to 31st August accepted with entries closing on Friday 11th September. The awards presentations take place on Thursday 19th November. Full details of the IBP National Journalism Awards are available to view. The judging criteria and information on what to include in an entry, are available to download:

Please pass it on to your media contacts.
With your help we can encourage more entries than last year.
