The IBP Futures Group and City University invites you to hear from two of the UK’s top feature journalists about how they craft memorable long-form stories. Learn how they consistently write features that bring to life complex topics in memorable ways to change perceptions, set agendas and turn heads.
Emma Jacobs, Features Writer at The FT:
Emma is a long-standing Features Writer at the FT where she focuses on the changing nature of work and the workplace. She is the co-author of the satirical column ‘Work Tribes’ and previously worked on the FT.com’s companies, markets and world desks. Along the way Emma has also written features for titles ranging from Esquire and Time Out through to Hello.

Matt Reynolds, Science Editor at Wired:
At Wired, Matt brings to life the ways scientific innovation in everything from the environment, health, and space to the future of fruit (apples specifically) are changing the future of the world. The stories he tells are often complex - but Matt finds ways to telling them in compelling, relatable ways. He was previously a science writer at New Scientist.
