Several of last year's Journalism Awards winners and a selection of the judges have accepted IBP's invitation to share their thoughts with an invited audience of editors and journalists. They will explain how they prepared their entries, their methodology and the selection and presentation of their support material. Judges will comment on how to show your best work to good advantage and what sets the winners apart.

 

You can also find out about the criteria drawn up by the sector's editors for the new Scoop of the Year category which, along with the other categories, you can enter online this year.

 

Chaired by Rebecca Evans, Editor, Construction News and IBP President, the panel will include:

 

Nick Duxbury, Executive Editor, Inside Housing - winner of IBP Journalist of the Year, Sustainable Writer and Feature Writer of the Year

 

Rory Olcayto, Editor, The Architects' Journal - winner of the Magazine of the Year category

 

Jack Sidders, News Editor, Estates Gazette - winner of the Business/Financial Journalist and Multi-Media Journalist of the Year

 

Judges include:

 

Ruth Slavid, architecture writer and editor - chair of the Digital Service and Multi-Media categories judging panel;

 

Lee Mallett, Consultant Urbrik Ltd and former editor Building Design and Estates Times - chair of the Weekly Magazine and News Reporter categories

 

Richard Northedge.City & Business Journalist - chair of the Commercial Property and Business/Financial categories.
