If you work in built environment journalism or communications — or are new to the industry and looking to grow your network — we’d love you to join our IBP community.
By joining, you become part of a vibrant and active network of professionals, with access to industry events, meaningful networking opportunities, and the latest IBP updates. It’s a space to connect, share perspectives, and grow together.
You’ll also help advance IBP’s purpose: championing greater diversity and inclusivity by creating opportunities for those currently under-represented in built environment journalism and communications. Our annual Summer Internship Programme is increasingly recognised across the industry as a gateway for the next generation of talent — and our community plays a vital role in making it possible.
Being part of the IBP community means you can get involved in initiatives like these, contribute to shaping the future of the industry, and take part in our prestigious annual IBP Awards.
We welcome all national, regional, business and technical journalists, podcasters and reporters, media relations, PR and communications professionals and academics working in the construction, architecture, housing, infrastructure and property sectors. Inhouse and agency people, students, interns and freelancers are all welcome.

We are always on the lookout for more supporters and volunteers to help us develop and expand IBP's activities.
